Happy Sunday y’all! This was such a busy week! Little man had something at school almost every day. A field trip to the local apple orchard (which was SO cold!!), fire safety and prevention with a visit from the local fire department, picture day, oh and he’s started reading his first chapter book (BY HIMSELF as a part of class work) Nate the Great. Next week will most certainly be boring in comparison, but I won’t complain about that.

Reading suffered this week and fell to the back burner as inspiration struck. Y’all might remember me lamenting the death of my previous computer a couple of years ago. When it crashed, it took my external hard drive with it which housed 5 of my own stories. I haven’t written much since then, and when we moved in March I haven’t written at all. But last weekend inspiration struck and I drafted an outline for not one or two books but an entire series (roughly 4 books and 2 novellas). I’ve spent this week working on the first novella and as of right now have already written 15k words! It’s pouring out of me faster than I can type. I may actually have something I’m proud to publish this time 😀

So I say my reading suffered, but I just looked at my Goodreads and I still managed to read 4 books this week ? I’m not really sure how I managed this or when I found the time…well yeah I do. One night I stayed up til 4am finishing a book, but let’s not judge my addiction shall we 😉

This Week’s Book Fix

What are you reading this week?

This week promises to be a slower week. It will also be much colder (yay!!!). I’m so ready for fall weather and currently the forecast is promising to deliver. I hold out much hope though. This is East TN I’m talking about, where one day it’s 89 and the sun is shine and the next it’s 40 and snowing (no joke, this has actually happened). Reading wise I have a few books left on my TBR list that I plan to finish this week, or at least I hope to finish this week. And then my writing. So I poured out a ton this week and I have high hopes that I will continue this speed. My goal is to add 10k this week. I think that’s doable. Tune in to my Facebook page Tuesday and I may just share a teaser or two 😉

    • My condolences on losing your hard drive. Losing ours was awful. We lost 10 years worth of info. I’ve learned my lesson now though and have the cloud backing up everything too. Hope you have a great week 🙂

    • 4 books a week was my average a couple of years ago but then life happened and I’m finally getting back into the swing I guess 😉 Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I’m delighted that you are writing again – wow – 15k is going some! And many thanks for taking part in the Running Out of Space blog tour this week – I really appreciated it! Have another enjoyable, productive week:))

    • Thank you Sarah! 15k in a week is a record for me. It usually takes me much longer because I edit as I go. But I haven’t this time which means I’ll have a lot of work on the back end but the ideas are just coming too fast to do it my normal way.
Hope you had a successful release week and congrats again 🙂

  2. I have lost so many things over the years to the deaths of computers. I think I’m up to seven now since 2007? Here’s what I am going to do whenever I get my butt in gear and start writing again: type it Google Docs and keep in a folder on your Google Drive. You’ll never lose it!
