Chosen One by is the 6th installment in her massive series and the third for her heroine Caro. This book was lukewarm for me. There were parts I loved, parts I disliked, and parts that were just “meh.” I wanted to love this book because I really like Caro, but there were some issues that I just couldn’t overcome. The Likes: Caro! I really enjoy this character. She is one of those that just faces the world and what it brings her head on and doesn’t care what others might think about her. She’s feisty, courageous, and loyal. Seriously I root… Read more »

Review: Saving Brad by Siobhan Davis

Review: Saving Brad by Siobhan Davis

Oh my heart!!!! Saving Brad by is the fifth installment in her which follows one family and their relationships. Seriously these books are so addicting! I may not usually read or enjoy contemporary but has written such a compelling, dramatic series full of angst that I just cannot sit down. As the title suggests, Brad, the other side of the Faye/Ky triangle, is the main focus. I’ll be honest, I really liked Brad at the beginning of the series and may have shipped him with Faye more than once. I felt like his character was so tragic. He lost everything: his best friend, his… Read more »

Audio Review: The Architect of Song by A.G. Howard

Audio Review: The Architect of Song by A.G. Howard

October 16, 2017 Reviews 2

The Architect of Song by is a heart-breaking read about a young girl and the ghost she falls in love with. I was a little skeptical about if I’d enjoy this book, but I’m glad to find that I was wrong. I enjoyed every word, and even days after finishing, I am still thinking about the characters. I have a soft spot for historical fiction and I loved that this was set during the Victorian period. It made for a wonderful gothic romance! Juliet is 19 and burying her mother when the book begins. (Dark beginning, yeah?!) I have to respect… Read more »

Review: Feels Like the First Time by Marina Adair

Review: Feels Like the First Time by Marina Adair

Feels Like the First Time by is the second in the about a small town and second chances. I personally really enjoyed this sweet story about best friends and a pretend relationship. We all know how those end 😉 Ali was my favorite side character in Last Kiss of Summer. She’s an independent woman, tomboyish, and the complete opposite of her former cheerleader- sister. And then there’s the small fact she’s always been in love with her best friend who also happens to be her sister’s ex.  Bradley Hawk *swoon* Hawk is a former NHL player turned bar owner. He… Read more »

I have no words for Empire of Storms by . No, that’s not true. I have a lot of words for this book, but none are very flattering. I love the series! It is one of my favorite high fantasies. So I was excited that I finally got the chance to read the next installment. Now I’m wondering what the hell I just read. Everything I love about the series is still there. I love the multiple character points of view and I love the overall series arc. BUT there are so many things I disliked. First off, I felt… Read more »

Review: The Irish Getaway by Siobhan Davis

Review: The Irish Getaway by Siobhan Davis

August 31, 2017 Reviews 0

I’m not really sure how I feel about The Irish Getaway by . I was kind of excited to read it even though I’ve made no secret about my dislike for the two main characters. I thought a story set in the author’s country would be cool, but really there isn’t much about Ireland in this short story. It’s more about the party scene which seems shadier and more dangerous than the American party scene (still trying to figure that one out). Anyways….The Irish Getaway is more of a bridge, setting up the standalone novels for the rest of the Kennedy Boys, rather… Read more »

Review: Fallen Heir by Erin Watt

Review: Fallen Heir by Erin Watt

Oh Easton ? Fallen Heir by is the fourth book in and tells Easton’s story. This story is NOT for the faint of heart. It’s a heart-breaking, gut-wrenching, can’t-sit-it-down kind of read. I didn’t realize before I started the story that Easton would/could break my heart, but oh boy! He does. Easton is my favorite Royal boy. He stole my heart with his naivety and boyish antics. He’s a contradiction on so many levels. To Ella and the readers of the original trilogy, Easton has a big heart that’s been crushed beyond repair. I’m here to tell you that this is true,… Read more »

It Happened on Love Street by is the first in her new contemporary romance series . I personally was excited to pick up the book. I love small town contemporaries! When done right, they make for a fun read with quirky, secondary characters and rich town history (even if fictional). doesn’t disappoint in this aspect. The small town feel of is what makes the book such a fun read. And then of course Rhett 😉 Pepper Knight is chasing her dream, pursuing a legal career and the only job available to her is in a small town down south…a big adjustment… Read more »
