Seducing Kaden, an all-new taboo romance from USA Today bestselling author is available NOW! Seducing Kaden is the latest installment of by . I have to start by saying I was excited and hesitant to read this book. Why? Kaden has been a mystery the entire series. From shady dealings in a back alley to fighting with Keven, Kaden has intrigued me. Then I got a taste of the blurb and found out that his romance was not only forbidden but taboo to the extreme….a married professor?! Really, Kaden could do better in my mind. Now those were my thoughts going… Read more »

Review: Legacy of Light by M. Lynn & Michelle Bryan

Legacy of Light by picks up right where the first one left off. *Please note that if you have NOT read Prophecy of Darkness there are spoilers from that book in this review. Read at your own risk.* Trystan and Rissa are mourning the loss of Davi in their own ways, but they must go on. They have a mission: to return magic to Dreach-Sciene. But it isn’t simple and their journey has only just begun. Prophecy of Darkness ended with some major cliffhangers: Davi’s death and true identity, the execution of the king, and the questionable nature of the Tri-Gard. I honestly was nervous opening… Read more »

Review: The Secret Heir by Siobhan Davis

Review: The Secret Heir by Siobhan Davis

March 29, 2018 Reviews 0

Another whirlwind read from ! The Secret Heir is the second book in her series and picks up a few weeks after the end of The Lost Savior. If you haven’t read that book yet, read ahead with caution as there may be spoilers from the first book in this review (though I’ll try my best to not have any). Book one ended on a pretty awful cliffhanger, not as bad as some of Davis’s previous books but still bad. I was left reeling and SO happy there was only a couple of months wait between the two. I don’t think I would’ve been… Read more »

Review: Pestilence by Laura Thalassa

Review: Pestilence by Laura Thalassa

March 26, 2018 Reviews 1

Who knew pestilence could be so hot?! When I started reading Pestilence by , I’ll be honest that I was skeptical of whether I’d love this angelic-being who spent his time spreading disease to the four-corners of the world. However I have always had faith in as she has not once let me down. Andre, Pluto, Caden, Montes, Desmond, even Jame…each of these have won a place in my heart at one time or another, and now Pestilence joins their ranks. This story is dark, frightening, and at times heartbreaking. Told exclusively from Sara’s point of view, the story of Pestilence unfolds, and… Read more »

Perfection….I don’t know another word that best describes my experience reading ‘s The Lost Savior. I make no secret my love for sci-fi and this book is the start of an amazing sci-fi series. At least I’m 99.999% sure it will be amazing 😀 The Lost Savior hooked me during the first chapter and I could not sit it down. I devoured it and then promptly skimmed through a second time to catch more details. Victoria King, Tori to her friends, is the main character and most of the story is told from her perspective. Tori is an athletic, confident teen in love who… Read more »

The Difference Between Young Adult and New Adult…and Why It’s Important

The Difference Between Young Adult and New Adult…and Why It’s Important

January 22, 2018 Features 5

In the last couple of years, a new genre has started to take root, and in the last year I’ve noticed that it is really becoming popular: New Adult. This isn’t the first time I’ve addressed this. I wrote a post about it a couple of years ago. What is New Adult? I defined it as a subgenre involving characters aged 16-30, and I think that is fairly accurate. New Adult typically involves characters that are entering college or have just finished college and are dealing with adult issues such as committed relationships, bills, finding a house/job, etc. BUT typically… Read more »

Review As I sit down to write the review for Inseparable, my heart aches. has delivered a powerful, emotionally stirring novel about the bonds of friendship, trials of adolescence, and the heartbreak of true grief. I was overcome many times during the reading of this book and had to set it down and simply have a good cry. Devin, Angelina, and Ayden are wonderfully written, fully fleshed out, and came to life as I read. When I read the prologue, my first thought was “This… Read more »
