Review: Perfectly Misunderstood by Robin Daniels

The Perfect Series is coming to a close with ‘s Perfectly Misunderstood. While I’m sad to see the series end, this book was a perfect conclusion. Featuring two characters who cannot stand each other, Perfectly Misunderstood reminds me a little of a contemporary Pride and Prejudice. Sassy, fun, and oh so sweet, I guarantee you will fall in love with Jayden and Mike’s story. At the beginning of this book, Jayden is struggling. She’s your typical straight-A student who is failing (well if you call C a failing) Spanish. She’s driven and determined, and knows her father will kill her if she doesn’t get that… Read more »

Seducing Kaden, an all-new taboo romance from USA Today bestselling author is available NOW! Seducing Kaden is the latest installment of by . I have to start by saying I was excited and hesitant to read this book. Why? Kaden has been a mystery the entire series. From shady dealings in a back alley to fighting with Keven, Kaden has intrigued me. Then I got a taste of the blurb and found out that his romance was not only forbidden but taboo to the extreme….a married professor?! Really, Kaden could do better in my mind. Now those were my thoughts going… Read more »

LOVED this book!!! Perfectly Summer by is the third installment in , and this time focuses on Levi London and his crush on his best friend Summer. I’m a sucker for best friend romances anyways so it wasn’t a stretch for me to fall in love with Levi and Summer. Fraught with drama, Perfectly Summer is a sweet read that will leave you smiling long after you finish it. The book begins with Levi excitedly getting off the school bus on the last day of school only to find both his parents at home. His mother is upset, locked in the bathroom. His father… Read more »

Review: The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory

Review: The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory

February 23, 2018 Reviews 1

When I picked up The Wedding Date by , I was expecting a sweet, contemporary romance set over the course of a whirlwind weekend. I based that assumption off the title, having skimmed the blurb. Imagine my disappointment when the wedding date was only the first 20% of the book. Despite this disappointment, there were other factors that detracted from my ability to like the story. But before I get into those, here are the things I really liked about the book: Interracial couple: Alexa is black and Drew is white (hence the cover 😉) Meet during a power outage on an… Read more »

I really enjoyed Driftwood Cove by ! The last book in the kind of fell flat for me so I was hesitant picking this one up. But there was no reason to be. I loved every minute of this book and devoured it in almost one sitting (I fell asleep with two chapters left….granted it was 3am). For those of you new to the series, each book follows a different couple and is told in dual POV. It can be read as a standalone, but just know that other characters from previous books do show up in each one. Driftwood Cove follows the… Read more »

I don’t know about you, but I love, LOVE modern adaptations of Jane Austen classics. Is it just me? Seriously, I’m obsessed with them. I can’t get enough! It always astounds me how Austen’s thoughts on women, relationships, romance, and politics can be transferred to today. This is a woman who lived in the 18th century and yet her work lives on today, over two hundred years later AND it is still relevant. By the Book by is a testament to that! Following the story of a college professor, By the Book is a loose, modern retelling of Austen’s classic Persuasion. Anne Corey thinks she… Read more »

Review: Should’ve Been You by Nicole McLaughlin

Should’ve Been You by is a sweet, contemporary romance about childhood crushes turning into more. The third book in the novella series, each novella focuses on a different couple. If you haven’t read the previous books in the series, it’s okay. These can be read as standalone novels. I had not read the previous books and found that I wasn’t lost and it was easy to read. I really enjoyed it! The story revolves around Jase and Becca. Jase has returned home, starting a cattle ranch after being in the service. I like Jace. He’s dependable, loyal, and a little vulnerable…. Read more »
