Trick by is the fourth novel in the series, and as we have hit the halfway mark of on , it has the most reveals and surprises for fans of the series. Faith Peyton is a brand new character to and I love her! She’s a straightforward, what you see is what you get kind of girl. And it’s a breath of fresh air to have a character like that. An orphan with little memory of her childhood or her own origins, Faith works as a fisherman, but as her 25th birthday approaches she is forced to seek marriage or join… Read more »

Chosen One by is the 6th installment in her massive series and the third for her heroine Caro. This book was lukewarm for me. There were parts I loved, parts I disliked, and parts that were just “meh.” I wanted to love this book because I really like Caro, but there were some issues that I just couldn’t overcome. The Likes: Caro! I really enjoy this character. She is one of those that just faces the world and what it brings her head on and doesn’t care what others might think about her. She’s feisty, courageous, and loyal. Seriously I root… Read more »

Review: Prophecy of Darkness by Michelle Bryan and Michelle Lynn

Review: Prophecy of Darkness by Michelle Bryan and Michelle Lynn

November 20, 2017 Reviews 2

I had the pleasure of beta reading Prophecy of Darkness back in May and I am so excited to finally be able to share it with you 😀 Prophecy of Darkness by is an exciting, new fantasy about a land whose magic is gone. Without magic, the kingdom of Dreach-Sciene is dying, nothing grows, famine looms and rebellions are beginning to pop up. Their only hope is a prophecy that talks about the legendary Tri-Gard, reuniting them and bringing magic back to the land. So the beginning of this book has a bit of a slow pace as the authors set the stage and… Read more »

Happy Saturday y’all! The book I’m sharing with you today came out late last month and somehow I missed the release day 🤦🏼‍♀️I had the opportunity to beta read this book over the Summer and I’ve been dying to share it with you since. If you are a fan of the series, you will be happy with the ending, even if you aren’t quite ready to say goodbye to the characters. If you haven’t started the series yet, enjoy scifi, alien dystopians, and a little romance, I highly recommend you grab a copy of Broken Skies and start a binge read ASAP!… Read more »

Review: Being Jamie Baker by Kelly Oram

Review: Being Jamie Baker by Kelly Oram

November 16, 2017 Reviews 4

Have you ever read a book that just left you smiling at the end? Or a book that you had a goofy grin the entire time reading it? Yeah, that’s pretty much every book for me. This author has a way of writing a story that I immediately fall in love with. Being Jamie Baker is no exception. Until this book, the only stories by I had read were all contemporary romance, both YA and some cleanish new adult. Being Jamie Baker falls in the realm of science fiction (which I make no secret of loving), YA and a little romance. Jamie Baker was… Read more »

Ok…so here’s the deal. I’m the first one to admit that I don’t like YA contemporary. It’s not my favorite thing to read. HOWEVER every now and then a book crosses my radar that makes me question my dislike. Just One of the Boys by is one of those books. It’s such a fun, cute read. Filled with humor, some steamy/angsty scenes, and a cast of characters that tug your heartstrings, Just One of the Boys is one of my favorite reads this year! Alice Bell, or just Al to her teammates, has moved to the city of Chicago with her mom and twin… Read more »

Review: Nyxia by Scott Reintgen

Review: Nyxia by Scott Reintgen

I really, really wanted to like Nyxia by , but sadly it was not my favorite read this year. I have found that I love the scifi genre this year, especially those that fall into the space opera category. I set my expectations too high for this book. That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it. On the contrary I did enjoy some parts, other parts not so much. Nyxia by is the first in a new series about a group of teens that are sent to an alien planet to mine an all-purpose mineral. Why send teens? Because the aliens are hostile towards adults but… Read more »

Review: Torment by Scarlett Dawn

Review: Torment by Scarlett Dawn

Torment by is the third novel in the and my favorite couple featured so far. Megan Marshall is first introduced in Poppy’s story. She’s on the run from her father and his criminal activity. She spent her life under his thumb and would rather die than go back to him. After being dragged into something she doesn’t understand (you know the zombie things the Master is controlling), she hopes to never see Poppy and her friends again…and then they show up at the dive bar she works in. Megan is probably my favorite character in the series. She’s blunt and to the… Read more »
