Happy Saturday y’all! Today I am SO excited to share with you¬†Caraval¬†by . The book hits shelves at the end of the month but I couldn’t contain my excitement any longer. I devoured this book! If you enjoy fantasy and vivid imagery, you are in for a treat ūüėÄ When I first saw¬†Caraval¬†on another blogger’s site, I was intrigued. When I received a copy for review, I was ecstatic! Seriously, did you take the time to read the blurb?! “A legendary game” and “dangerous intrigue” grabbed my attention.¬†Caraval¬†is a story about two sisters, an abusive father, and how they finally… Read more »

Review: Through Glass: The Blue by Rebecca Ethington

Review: Through Glass: The Blue by Rebecca Ethington

January 20, 2017 Reviews 0

I LOVE this series!¬†Through Glass: The Blue¬†by picks up right where it left off in volume 1. Having escaped her impending death and leaving an injured Bridget behind, Lex and Travis are now on their own in the darkness with nothing but the supplies on their backs and a destination that may not accept Lex. While the first book in this series is a bit slow moving, this one is the exact opposite. Packed full of action, I couldn’t set it down until I finished it. The dynamic between Lex and Travis is interesting. For Lex she is Travis‚Äôs older… Read more »

Waiting on Wednesday #87 – Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves

January 18, 2017 Features 7

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we are all eagerly anticipating. This week I’m patiently waiting on¬†Blood Rose Rebellion¬†by . The book is being compared to¬†Red Queen¬†which I loved so that alone is enough for me to want to read this book. But then I read the full blurb….girl without powers, outcasted and becomes the unwitting leader in a rebellion. YES PLEASE!!! I love dystopians, especially when they are combined with fantasy as this one is. Can’t wait to read it! What are you not-so-patiently waiting on… Read more »

Happy New Year fellow moms and teachers! Can you believe that it is now 2017?! Me either ūüėÄ We finished off 2016 with a bang. Little man enjoyed his gifts from Santa, especially his books which made this bookworm happy. He went back to school last week and I’ve been missing him. I enjoyed having him home for a few weeks and now the house feels too quiet. We did crafts, we played games, and we built with Lego castles…specifically a haunted mansion and Ninjago city. Currently Reading Up Next Cold Season We are entering the time of cold season… Read more »

Seven Black Diamonds¬†by has been on my TBR shelf for a really long time, like embarrassingly long. When I receive a book to review, I write it down on a spreadsheet. It helps me to keep track of what books I have and when they are being released. Somehow when I received this book in 2015, it didn’t get written down. It wasn’t until I came across it on my Kindle that I realized I had it and hadn’t read it *hangs head in shame* So the first thing I did when I found it….READ IT! has been a name… Read more »

Y’all it’s been three years since I first read ‘s¬†The T√©-Trad Tale. I have not-so-patiently been waiting for more from her. I loved her story-telling and writing style. So when I received an email from her just before Christmas asking if I’d read and review her new series, I was like After I picked myself up off the floor, I immediately responded with a yes. I’ll be honest too, I didn’t even read what the book was about. I love Wilder’s other series¬†that¬†much! So I went into¬†The Vampire Mafia blind. Y’all it’s amazing! Review: Poison’s Kiss by Breeana Shields

Review: Poison’s Kiss by Breeana Shields

January 12, 2017 Reviews 9

I am so in love with this book!!!¬†Poison’s Kiss¬†by debut author has topped my list of favorite books. I know 2017¬†just started BUT this may wind up being my favorite read of the year. The author does a marvelous job of combining Indian mythology with her own brand of fantasy. It is done SO well that I found myself looking up the original mythology just because I wasn’t ready to let this world go. The book follows Marinda, a young woman with a deadly kiss. She is a¬†visha¬†kanya¬†or poison maiden. As a child she was slowly introduced to poisons until… Read more »
