Saturday Shorts #21 – A Christmas Hope by Stacy Henrie

Saturday Shorts #21 – A Christmas Hope by Stacy Henrie

December 13, 2014 Reviews 2

So thankful for the weekend! It’s been a long week…This week I had the honor of reviewing Stacy Henrie‘s A Christmas Hope, a novella from her Of Love and War series. Though a little longer than your typical novella, it is perfect for those of you that enjoy clean romance and historical fiction (my vice). What’s not to love about a sweet story during the Christmas season?! Stacy Henrie‘s A Christmas Hope follows the evolving relationship between Maria Schmitt and Dale Emerson. Maria is a character that I fell in love with during Hope at Dawn. She was hopelessly in love, or I guess infatuated… Read more »

Book Blitz for Addiction by Angela McPherson

Book Blitz for Addiction by Angela McPherson

December 11, 2014 Features, Reviews 3

A few weeks ago I received a message from Angela McPherson asking if I was still interested in an advanced copy of her newest book Addiction. After I celebrated and squealed a bit, I replied back with a yes and I have been dying to share it with all of you ever since. Addiction is a short sequel to Distraction which was released in August of this year. I fell in love with the characters and I’ve been on pins and needles waiting to find out what happens to them. And Angela did not disappoint 😀 Keep reading past my review for info on how… Read more »

Waiting on Wednesday #6 – Beastkeeper by Cat Hellisen

December 10, 2014 Features 1

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we are all eagerly anticipating. Today’s pick should come as no surprise to readers of the blog as I’ve mentioned it several times in the last few weeks on my Top Ten Tuesday posts. So after several mentions I thought I’d share it on here for those of you that still haven’t heard about it 😉 My obsession with Beastkeeper by Cat Hellisen originally started as purely cover love, then I read the synopsis and this last line hooked me….”The day she falls… Read more »

Today I’m so excited to participate in the blog tour for Under a Georgia Moon by Cindy Roland Anderson. The tour runs from Dec. 2nd through the 12th. Click the above banner for other stops 🙂 Ok so you know those cheesy Hallmark movies that come on nonstop this time of year? The ones that are so sappy and so predictable that your husband or significant other rolls his eyes at you for watching them? The same ones that even though you know how they end you still watch them, still laugh at them, still cry during them all the way to… Divider

Saturday Shorts #20 – Sink by Scarlett Dawn

Saturday Shorts #20 – Sink by Scarlett Dawn

December 6, 2014 Reviews 2

I really have a love-hate relationship when it comes to serials and today’s book is no exception. While I loved it for its plot and characters, I hated it for its length and abrupt ending! Are you feeling my frustration yet? However this serial series isn’t one to be missed. Cold Mark is a dystopian sci-fi for the New Adult readers out there and I love it so much! My only wish….closer release dates!! I think it’s set at three months right now, which for a book I read in one sitting is a really long time! Okay enough of… Read more »

Melt by Selene Castrovilla

Melt by Selene Castrovilla

December 3, 2014 Reviews 0

My immediate reaction after reading this book:  Seriously, like what the heck did I just read?! Melt by Selene Castrovilla is a haunting, gruesome tale of abuse and first love set to the backdrop of The Wizard of Oz. Dorothy is the new girl in town, her parents are psychologists, and she’s an all around good girl. Joey is the “bad kid” who on a daily basis watches his dad physically and emotionally abuse his mom. When they meet, it’s like insta-love, but everything is working against them. Abusive dad, psychologist parents, Joey’s reputation…just to name a few. So you know the expression… Divider

December 2, 2014 Features 7

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at The Broke and the Bookish. They’d love to share their lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists! Happy Tuesday everyone! It’s that time of the week again…you know my favorite time when I get to make a list 😉 This week’s topic was too easy. In fact I had to narrow it down to ten which in itself made the topic hard. The topic is “Top Ten Books I’m… Read more »
