Blur by Steven James

May 15, 2014 Reviews 1

Today I would like to share with you a new book that will be released 5/27. Blur by Steven James is a crime mystery with some paranormal elements thrown in, and is for the young adult reader. At first I wasn’t impressed, I thought I had it figured out, but my conclusion came no where close to the actual conclusion of this book. It is full of surprises and I highly recommend it. Oh and a little side note, he’s a local boy. How cool is that?! Blur by Steven James is a fast-paced, suspenseful, slightly paranormal crime novel for… Read more »

Today I am really excited to share with you a book I received from the author for an honest review. And in completely honesty, I believe that I may have found my new favorite series! Broken Aro is book one of the Broken Ones series and it by far exceeded all my expectations. An epic fantasy for the YA readers out there that should not be overlooked. I rank it right up with The Lord of the Rings and Susan Cooper’s Dark Rising series. I know I say this a lot, but if you like fantasy novels that are chock full of action… Read more »

Happy Friday everyone! Today I have a book for you animal and fantasy lovers. Sabaska’s Tale is a book I received from the author in exchange for an honest review and I must say I really enjoyed it. I think what made me like the book so much is that even with the fantasy elements, it is very realistic. I could easily see this happening (my sci-fi brain kicked into high gear!). So if you enjoy fantasy, young adult, coming-of-age literature with some suspense and a highly intelligent horse, go pick up a copy. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed 🙂… Read more »

Okay I know what you’re thinking. Didn’t I just review a book by Tracey Ward yesterday? Well the answer is yes I did. Yesterday I introduced you to the first book of the Quarantined Series, Until the End. Today I would like to finish the series with book two In the End. As I said yesterday, I’ve never been a big fan of zombies, but that all changed with The Walking Dead era, and this series is just too good to not share. If you like zombie stories with a lot of suspense and a little romance, do yourself a favor, head… Read more »

A long time ago, in the not so distant past, I believed that I hated zombies and all things to do with zombies. I thought zombies were the world’s way of introducing gore into horror flicks and passing it off as scary. I mean really, what’s so scary about a slow moving decomposing undead person? Nothing! Give me an axe and I’m good to go. Then The Walking Dead happened, and the book turned movie Warm Bodies. Now I am hooked. I love zombies! Does this mean there is something wrong with me? (((shrugs))) Maybe, but I don’t care. Until… Read more »

Today I wanted to share with you a book I received for free through the Amazon Prime program Kindle First. If you aren’t aware of this program, it’s pretty cool. Each month, Amazon chooses four books that will be released on the first of the next month and offers them to Prime members. You can only choose one, but still a free book is a good book to me 🙂 My choice this month was a historical fiction piece about the real life lady Livia Drusilla. Livia was the wife of Augustus Caesar and the grandmother of Cladius. Roman history… Read more »
