Review: Armored by M.A. Wilder

March 5, 2014 Reviews 2

First let me say Wow! This book hooked me from the first lines and I could not sit it down. I immediately picked up with book two and finished them both in three days. Armored tells a tale about a girl coming of age and finding out that all of our Earth myths are not only true but in fact alien. The story starts with our heroine Beckit Wright. She is a seventeen year old on the verge of high school graduation, captain of the swim team, and–through her own description–not a girl to turn heads. She’s an orphan and remembers nothing from… Read more »

Doctor’s Orders……

Doctor’s Orders……

March 4, 2014 Features 0

So today I am taking a sick day thanks to K. Bromberg and her last book of the Driven Trilogy Crashed. If you have not read these books I highly suggest you do (that is if you are over 18 and a woman!). A novel classified as erotica is usually not my cup of tea, however this trilogy written by a new author and indie published has such a heart-wrenching story. Below you will find my doctor’s note from Mrs. Bromberg herself so you see, I’m excused! I will be clutching tissues and sobbing in a corner if you need me………. Read more »

Today I will be continuing with the Imdalind Series by Rebecca Ethington. If you’ve missed the posts for the first two books, don’t worry just click on them below. Kiss of Fire Eyes of Ember If you’ve enjoyed the series so far, then I think you will really enjoy book three. I think I may like it better than Eyes of Ember! This story though is slightly different. The first two books are told exclusively from Joclyn’s POV. However this story is told during the two weeks that she is trapped in Cail’s mind and is told by Ilyan and Wyn… Read more »

Today I wanted to bring you a book by one of my all-time favorite authors. If you have never read anything of Mitch Albom’s, you don’t know what you are missing! His work is unique. When reading any of his work (fiction & nonfiction) you feel like the characters are speaking to you and you are longtime friends. I love this style of writing! It makes for fun, easy reads. So this particular novel is a nonfiction work about two men from entirely different walks of life with different views of God and how both influenced Mitch’s life. Book Demographics… Read more »

Today I wanted to bring to you this awesome story about a girl who when destiny calls she answers. Just a little background……at the end of January I received an email on Goodreads (which if you are a member you know is not uncommon) from an author I’d never heard of asking if I would read her book. So naturally, I went to the book’s information page and saw the cover……….my first reaction was like “Ehhhh? Really a lion? Reminds me of The Chonicles of Narnia. I don’t know.” Then I read the synopsis and was like “I must read… Read more »
