Review: Zero Repeat Forever by G.S. Prendergast

After spending just under a week reading Zero Repeat Forever by , I’m not really sure how I feel about it. My initial reaction was that I loved it, but now that I sit to write the review, I find that maybe I didn’t love it as much as I originally thought. Zero Repeat Forever is told in dual POV and takes place over the course of a year after an alien race seemingly invades Earth and begins wiping out the human population. Honestly this seems right up my alley, but the execution was odd and at times hard to follow. What I Liked… Read more »

Happy Saturday y’all! Today’s review is another book I read this Spring but never got the chance to share with you. If you enjoy contemporary YA, I think this may be right up your alley. Also keep reading after the review to see what book won the vote for this month’s TBR read. @Mo_than_you_know I’m digging what they’re serving up at Burger Barn today. #idlikefrieswithTHAT #famous by is every teen girl’s worst nightmare come to life. Girl takes picture of her crush and tweets it to her best friend.* Tweet goes viral. Now not only does boy know, entire school and… Read more »

Review: Happily Ever After by Kelly Oram

Review: Happily Ever After by Kelly Oram

Happily Ever After by is a perfect follow-up to her Cinder & Ella, picking up about a week later. I’ve read Cinder & Ella more times than I can count and have multiple copies (my original Kindle copy, a paperback copy, even an Audible copy which I highly recommend). Seriously as I write this, I want to go back and read it. Brian and Ella are two of my all-time favorite characters and their relationship is another favorite of mine. Happily Ever After is the sequel I didn’t know I wanted or needed. Cinder & Ella pretty much ends on a high note and suggests… Read more »

Review: Christmas in July by Debbie Mason

Review: Christmas in July by Debbie Mason

August 10, 2017 Reviews 0

Recently I needed a break from my normal reads and decided to return to . Christmas in July by is the second book in the series and tells the story of Grace and Jack Flaherty. I kind of did this series backwards by starting the series in book 5 and now I’m going backwards. I’ll be honest I’ve been wanting to read their story since I read Jill’s story in Happy Ever After in Christmas. I love this couple and now I have even more reason to love them. Told in dual POV, my heart broke time and again for this couple who… Read more »

Happy Saturday y’all! I have a question for you all today. Have you ever been excited for a book and then start reading only to be massively disappointed? Is it just me?! Today I’m going to share with you one of those books. I don’t typically review books I don’t finish. For that matter, I rarely stop reading a book, but sometimes the book just isn’t a good fit and it’s better for me if I just set it down. Project Pandora by was that kind of book for me. I really, really, REALLY wanted to like Project Pandora by . First off, did you see… Read more »

Weekend Reads #94 – Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones

Happy Saturday y’all! As you know, I took several weeks off this Spring, but that didn’t mean I quit reading. In fact, today’s review is a book that I read back in February and wrote most of the review prior to all the drama going down. So I’m finally coming back to it. Wintersong was one of my most anticipated reads for 2017, but it didn’t pan out as I wanted it too. Has that ever happened with you? Where do I begin? Wintersong by was my most anticipated debut of 2017 and unfortunately it did not live up to the hype in my… Read more »

Review: Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray

Review: Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray

July 28, 2017 Reviews 0

It’s been a few months since I read Defy the Stars by , but I’ve thought about it often. A combination of sci-fi, dystopia, and even a little romance make it a top read for me this year. The book opens during a space battle and the action never slows. It hooked me from the first page and I didn’t want it to end. Plus it’s duel POV in limited 3rd person…..AMAZING!!!! The premise of the book is pretty cool. Earth was apparently dying so they settled several planets by going through a worm hole to do so. Only one of those… Read more »

Review: Loving Kalvin by Siobhan Davis

Review: Loving Kalvin by Siobhan Davis

July 27, 2017 Reviews 0

On starting Loving Kalvin by , I knew I was in for some heart ache. Having read the first part of series, I knew Lana and Kal’s history and my heart already hurt for this pair. Something inherent was broken and I really didn’t know if it could be fixed. So I was anxious to begin and once I started I couldn’t set it down. Told in dual POV (which I loved), has created yet another beautiful redemption story. I love Kalvin! Kal was one of my favorites from the original trilogy so I was excited to read his story AND doubly… Read more »

Blog Tour: No Good Deed by Kara Connolly

Blog Tour: No Good Deed by Kara Connolly

No Good Deeds by is a fresh take on the Robin Hood legend involving a little time travel. For me, retellings are a recent love. I’ve not always been a fan, but I really enjoyed this one. And Robin Hood, well he’s one of my favorites. I love the myth and legend surrounding this outlaw who stole from the rich to give to the poor. It’s nice to think the man existed at some point in the Middle Ages, fighting the people who were drunk on power to save the little guy. Robin Hood is iconic, which is why I thought… Read more »

Review: Ash and Quill by Rachel Caine

Review: Ash and Quill by Rachel Caine

July 14, 2017 Reviews 2

series just keeps getting better and better!! Ash and Quill by is the third book in this series and so far my favorite installment. The action and suspense are tripled in this book compared to the rest of the series. Please note that if you have not read the first two books, there will be minor spoilers to the previous books in this review. Read at your own risk! Ash and Quill picks up right where Paper and Fire left off. Jess and his friends along with Scholar Wolfe and Captain Santi have survived the Welsh invasion of London only to escape to Philadelphia, a burner-controlled city. Obviously… Read more »
