November ’17 TBR List

November ’17 TBR List

November 4, 2017 Challenges, Features 15

This meme is hosted by Michelle @ Because Reading. By the first Saturday of the month, I’ll pick three books from my massive TBR pile and then you will vote which one I read. Majority vote wins and I’ll post the winner on the second Saturday of the month. Then I will read the book and on the last Saturday of the month I’ll share what I thought about the book you picked for me to read. Fun right ? I’ve tweaked this meme just a little and will also share with you what I plan to read for the month…. Read more »

2017 Reading Challenges: 2nd Quarter Update

2017 Reading Challenges: 2nd Quarter Update

July 1, 2017 Challenges 4

How is half the year gone already?! Welcome to the 2nd quarter update for my 2017 reading challenges. Honestly the 2nd quarter of 2017 sucked big time for me. Towards the end of February, there was some serious drama. I don’t want to rehash it here so if you want info click here. All you really need to know is that it knocked me off my reading horse. I’ve always loved to read but the drama took that away from me. June was a better reading month and I did find my love of reading again. But to put this… Read more »

2017 Reading Challenges: 1st Quarter Update

2017 Reading Challenges: 1st Quarter Update

March 31, 2017 Challenges 6

How is the first quarter of 2017 already gone?! I know I say this every month, but TIME NEEDS TO SLOW DOWN! I didn’t do great during this quarter on my challenges. If you missed yesterday’s post, I suggest you read it to find out why. I won’t rehash the details here 😉 I’ll just say I’ve been super busy with our move. Oh and my son had his first baseball game last night 😀 March was pretty much a wash for reading, my juju was gone, but it’s coming back so I’m hoping for a more productive reading quarter… Read more »

In 2016, I tackled my first year-long challenges. I didn’t fare so well. I completed only 2 of 4 for the year. So in 2017, it’s go big or go home for me ? Thanks to Tanya @ GirlXOXO for creating this master list of reading challenges. All of the challenges start January 1st and… Read more »

2016 Reading Challenges Complete! 4th Quarter Update

2016 Reading Challenges Complete! 4th Quarter Update

December 29, 2016 Challenges 1

Only 2 days left in 2016 and my 2016 reading challenges are complete. I didn’t do too badly on two of them, the other two not so great. I think I was a bit overzealous knowing we were moving this past Summer. I didn’t take into account the time it would take to pack, unpack, and settle back into a routine. 2016 Reading Assignment Challenge For this challenge, you create a list of books that you commit to read throughout the year. You determine the number of books you will read per month and choose books from your list to… Read more »

2016 HoHoHo Read-a-thon: My Goals

2016 HoHoHo Read-a-thon: My Goals

November 7, 2016 Challenges 5

It’s that time of year again….you know the one where there are parties for hosting, marshmallows for toasting and caroling out in the snow ? Ok so maybe no snow yet but I am definitely getting into the holiday spirit which means my reading list changes a bit. I don’t know what it is about this time of the year but my usual reads of sci-fi and fantasy are put to the side in favor of sweet (think Hallmark movie sweet) romance, the kind that I could see myself reading in front of a fire, sipping hot chocolate and playing footsie… Read more »

#COYER Summer Vacation, Can You Read a Series in a Month, and ARC August – Challenge Complete!

#COYER Summer Vacation, Can You Read a Series in a Month, and ARC August – Challenge Complete!

September 5, 2016 Challenges 4

August saw the end of three reading challenges: ARC August, Can You Read a Series in a Month, and #COYER Summer Vacation. Honestly I didn’t do so well with these challenges, especially the first two. I way underestimated my lack of time this summer with our move and little man starting school. Oh well, you win some, you lose some I guess 😀 #COYER 2016 Summer Vacation For this challenge, you just had to read. Anything and everything counted! The rules are pretty much out the window during the summer COYER which I was thankful for. I challenged myself to… Read more »

I’ve discovered something about myself the last year….I’m addicted to reading challenges 😀 I participated in my first one last year and ever since I seem to sign up for more and more. I’ll need your help on that last one 😉 I personally love the ARC challenges and have participated in the Caffeinated Book… Read more »
