Happy Sunday y’all! I was lazy this week. Seriously, we did not do anything….well I take that back. We did go shoe shopping for school 😉 It was nice to lay around this week. It was super hot here with zero rain all week until yesterday. My poor grass is brown and crunches when you walk on it.

Reading wise I finished up a beta read for one of my favorite authors and y’all are going to love this book ? I really can’t wait to read it again in a few weeks. Aside from that, I read a fun contemporary from Debbie Mason and that’s it. I only managed two books this week. I’m not sure why. It’s not like we did anything, but I only read two books. Though I guess my Hart of Dixie binge on Netflix is taking up most of my time. Side note: I LOVE this show!!! Why was it only 4 seasons ?

This Week’s Book Fix

None 🙁 My books are going to be lonely….

What are you reading this week?

This is our last week before school starts back and I’m so sad. I love having little man home. He is growing up so fast and I’m just not ready for him to be a first grader. I want to freeze time! With school looming, I plan to do a lot of fun things this week, some crafts etc. Granted after our dry week last week, this week is going to be a wash out so not much outdoor playing planned. I’m thinking a trip to see The Emoji Movie sounds fun.

Could you help me by voting on my TBR read for this month? Below is the poll 😀 This is the first time I’m participating in the TBR meme and I’m excited. To see more info, go to my post from Tuesday.

  1. I feel like we’re starting school so late here – everyone else is talking about going back and we don’t start until the 28th! Of course I go back the 16th to start getting things ready for the kiddos. Hope your little man enjoys his last bit of summer!

I voted for Empire of Storms and seem to have created a tie :/ Sorry! I picked that one because I’m behind on the series and really need to do some catching up.

    Have a great week 🙂

  2. Our grass is brown and crunchy, too. OH!! I’m rewatching Hart of Dixie too!! I didn’t watch when it originally aired, so I looked it up. Allegedly low ratings, but I also found articles about Rachel Bilson making a point to say it wasn’t canceled due to her pregnancy. I bought a new purse (mine was literally falling apart) and a couple of clothes to update my wardrobe and some supplies for my teaching partner and me for the beginning of the year. We’re setting up our rooms tomorrow. Your son is going to love first grade! They do grow up too fast!
