Well, February has come and gone. I now have a 5 year old ? I’m not ready for him to grow up any more. I want him to stay little, but to be honest I love seeing him grow. Ironic, I know, but so true! Since he started preschool last fall, he’s learned so much. Not only does he know the alphabet, shapes, colors, and numbers, but he can write his name and anything really if I spell it out for him. AND my little boy is starting to read!!! Makes this bookworm mama SO proud. February was busy but so perfect! What did you do this past month?

Favorite February Read

So I read 15 books last month, and of those 9 were 5 reads! How am I supposed to choose one book?!

I got the chance to read Rebecca Belliston’s series Citizens of Logan Pond, which is a hauntingly could-happen dystopian about life after the collapse of the economy, becoming a socialist nation, and losing our freedoms. The two books that are currently available were AMAZING!!! I cannot wait for the 3rd which will be out later this year (I hope!).

  2. Mine will be turning five later this week. It’s crazy, isn’t it? They grow so fast. Sounds like our kids are doing some of the same things. It’s amazing and wonderful. I hope you have a great week!

  3. That’s awesome your son is starting to learn how to read! And 9 5 star reads in a month, that’s awesome! I only have had one 5 star read so far this year. I hope March will be a great month too!

  4. I’ve seen Kaleidoscope Hearts a couple of times this morning. Definitely curious. Also, The Leaving is one I need to check out.

Ah, yes, the growing up of our little ones…first they go off to school…then college…and the next thing you know, they are living half a world away, coming home only every few years…sigh. (My eldest).

But nowadays, with FB, Skype, etc., we can still stay in touch…a lot.

Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  5. You had a great reading month!

I like the looks of the Belliston series. I like dystopian, maybe because of the “what-ifs” it makes me think about, and also to enjoy how average and safe my own life is, lol.

Happy birthday to the little one– enjoy these fleeting moments with him. So long ago for me… I was a young mom, and so was my eldest, so I am now a nana to 3, the youngest is older than your boy 🙂
