Have you ever heard the saying “When it rains, it pours?” Well that has been my week. It started with a death in the family, a sick little boy, and ended with a celebration of life. So while it wasn’t all bad, it was just stressful. Seeing family yesterday though really helped 🙂

On the reading front, I’m in a bit of a slump. My current read just isn’t what I thought it would be. How do you get over your reading slump? How was your week?

Currently Reading

Book Cover for "Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3)" by Marissa Meyer

Yes, I started this last week and yes it’s the cause of my reading slump. I think I’m in the minority when I say that I’m sorely disappointed with it.

Looking forward to your review of Red Queen and Burnt Devotion. Have not read that one yet but love Rebecca Ethington now thanks to you 🙂

  2. Sorry to hear you’re in a reading slump. 🙁 I read a handful of books this week and for the most part I was satisfied wiyh them but I can definitely relate because u had a bad March reading month. I hope May is a better reading month for you. 🙂 Just pray about everything girl and God will make it all better. 😉

  3. What a shame you’re finding Cress disappointing! Funnily enough I enjoyed the first book, didn’t much like the second book — and loved the third. So I am desperately awaiting the last in the series. 🙂 Hope your next read is better, though. You’ve got some GREAT review copies there; I am especially interested in A Whole New World.

    • Well I finished Cress last night and the ending redeemed itself. I just wasn’t a fan of her “Prince Charming.” I’m excited for Winter now!

  4. I’m not really into these fantasy fairy tales kind of books so I’ve never read the series but I hate when you invest yourself in a series and the new book is a big fat bummer! I hope you enjoy your reading this week.
